The role is with a well-established facilities management organisation, supporting the engineering team at a prestigious, high-profile site. It is a fully onsite position, working five days per week, and would suit an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a background in commercial building services or facilities management. The successful candidate will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical building services, including HVAC systems, pumps, motors, pipework and associated plant. The role also involves fault-finding, routine inspections, contractor coordination and supporting small works and improvement projects. A recognised mechanical qualification, such as City & Guilds, NVQ or an apprenticeship, is required. Overall, this is a good opportunity to join an established organisation and take ownership of mechanical maintenance across an important London site, while working closely with facilities teams, contractors and client stakeholders.📍 London – 5 Days Onsite💰 Up to £48,000 + BenefitsWhat You'll Be DoingDelivering planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of mechanical building services.Monitoring the performance of plant and equipment, identifying opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.Coordinating and supervising contractors to ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and to a high standard.Investigating mechanical faults and implementing effective solutions to minimise downtime.Supporting the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities to reduce disruption to building occupants.Carrying out routine inspections to ensure assets remain compliant and fully operational.Maintaining accurate service records, maintenance logs and compliance documentation.Working closely with facilities teams and client stakeholders to provide technical support and engineering expertise.Assisting with small works, upgrades and improvement projects across the site.Ensuring all activities are completed in accordance with company procedures and health & safety legislation.Contributing to a positive team culture by sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues where required.What We're Looking ForPrevious experience maintaining mechanical building services within a commercial or facilities management environment.A recognised mechanical qualification such as City & Guilds, NVQ, apprenticeship or equivalent.Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, pumps, motors, pipework and associated mechanical plant.Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults across a variety of building systems.Confidence working alongside contractors, suppliers and internal engineering teams.A solid understanding of planned preventative maintenance principles.Good working knowledge of health & safety regulations and safe working practices.If you're looking to join a reputable organisation where you'll play a key role in maintaining a high-profile site, we'd love to hear from you.
