Mechanical Engineer – HVACJob SummaryWe are looking for an experienced and hands-on Mechanical Engineer – HVAC to join our construction team and oversee the execution of HVAC works across our projects.The ideal candidate will have strong site experience in HVAC installation, supervision, coordination, testing, and commissioning, with a solid understanding of mechanical drawings, specifications, materials, and construction standards.This is a site-based role, and candidates with purely design or office-based experience will not be considered.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and manage day-to-day HVAC activities at construction sites.Ensure HVAC works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, approved materials, and project requirements.Review and interpret HVAC drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and technical documents.Coordinate HVAC works with Civil, Electrical, Architectural, and other project disciplines.Supervise subcontractors, technicians, and site workers to ensure proper execution of HVAC works.Monitor the installation of HVAC systems, including ductwork, chilled water piping, FCUs, AHUs, VRF/VRV systems, ventilation systems, pumps, and related equipment.Prepare and follow up on material requests, material deliveries, and site requirements.Conduct regular site inspections and ensure work is completed according to required quality standards.Prepare and coordinate Inspection Requests (IRs) and ensure timely closure of site observations and comments.Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project management teams regarding technical and site-related matters.Identify technical issues and coordinate appropriate solutions to avoid delays and rework.Monitor project progress and ensure HVAC activities are completed according to the approved project schedule.Follow up on testing, commissioning, balancing, and handover activities of HVAC systems.Review and verify quantities and site measurements related to HVAC works.Assist in preparing as-built drawings and project handover documentation.Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and highlight project issues and required actions.Ensure compliance with project quality standards, safety requirements, and relevant codes and regulations.Monitor material usage and minimize material wastage.Support the Project Manager and Senior Engineers in achieving project milestones and completion targets.Requirements & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.3–5 years of relevant experience in HVAC/MEP contracting and construction projects.Proven hands-on experience in HVAC site execution and supervision.Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation methods, and construction practices.Experience with HVAC drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and technical submittals.Experience coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other site disciplines.Knowledge of testing, commissioning, and handover procedures.Good knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.Strong problem-solving and site coordination skills.Good communication and reporting skills.Ability to work under pressure and manage site priorities effectively.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.Preferred QualificationsUAE construction experience is highly preferred.Experience in residential, commercial, high-rise, or large-scale construction projects.Experience with chilled water, VRF/VRV, AHU, FCU, ventilation, and ductwork systems.Familiarity with UAE construction standards and authority requirements.Experience working with consultants and MEP subcontractors.Work LocationUAE – Sharjah - Site BasedSalary: AED 8,000 – 10,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
