Mechanical Engineer – Separator Internals Installation & Belzona Specialist

Role OverviewPowerPack Oil & Gas Services is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support a project in Algeria involving the installation of separator internals and associated mechanical works. The successful candidate will possess strong expertise in vessel entry operations, supervision of installation activities, and the application of Belzona products within oil and gas facilities.The role requires a hands-on professional capable of ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of all mechanical installation activities while maintaining compliance with client specifications, project requirements, and site safety procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate the installation of separator internals and related mechanical equipment.Ensure compliance with vessel entry requirements, confined space procedures, permit-to-work systems, and all site-specific HSE regulations.Lead and monitor installation crews to ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with approved procedures.Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and installation methodologies prior to execution.Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety observations.Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support during installation activities.Oversee and verify the proper preparation, application, and curing of Belzona products in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.Coordinate with clients, project management teams, contractors, and HSE personnel to ensure smooth project execution.Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to quality standards, schedules, and project deliverables.Prepare daily progress reports, inspection records, and technical documentation.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the oil and gas industry.Proven experience in the installation of separator internals, vessel internals, or similar process equipment.Hands-on experience in the application and supervision of Belzona products.Strong knowledge of vessel entry requirements, confined space operations, and site safety procedures.Experience supervising mechanical installation, maintenance, turnaround, or shutdown activities.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Previous project experience in Algeria is considered a strong advantage.Required CompetenciesSeparator Internals InstallationVessel Entry & Confined Space OperationsBelzona Application & Repair SystemsMechanical Construction & MaintenanceInstallation SupervisionHSE Compliance & Risk ManagementQuality Control & InspectionTechnical Reporting & DocumentationApplication ProcessQualified candidates from all nationalities who meet the above requirements are encouraged to submit their updated CVs, highlighting relevant experience in separator internals installation, Belzona applications, vessel entry operations, and oil & gas project execution.
