Mechanical Estimation Engineer

1. Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for oil and gas projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards. 2. Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and other documents to identify project requirements and potential cost implications. 3. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to gather necessary information for comprehensive estimates. 4. Conduct market research to stay informed about material costs, labor rates, and industry trends that impact project pricing. 5. Develop and maintain estimation databases and templates for efficiency and consistency in future projects. 6. Evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals, ensuring alignment with project scope and budgetary constraints. 7. Assist in preparing bid submissions and presentations for potential clients, highlighting competitive advantages and value propositions. 8. Participate in post-project evaluations to analyze discrepancies between estimated and actual costs, fostering continuous improvement. 9. Support risk assessment processes by identifying and quantifying potential risks that could affect project costs. 10. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior estimation engineers, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.

• Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in estimation within the oil and gas sector, preferably with exposure to both onshore and offshore projects Candidates with no MEP experience will not be considered.
• Professional certifications in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of oil and gas industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Aspen, Primavera, or similar tools) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in calculations.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex information clearly to stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Demonstrated adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies in a fast-paced industry.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus, especially for international projects.
