We're looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join the team and play a key role in shaping innovative solutions and supporting our long-term success.What's the mission?Your main responsibilities will be to ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment. You will work on various different types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.You will be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on-site. Working 48 hours per week, the shift pattern covers days - Monday to Thursday (10hr) and Friday (8hr).What are the mission-critical skills?Mechanical fitting with good knowledge of conveyor belts, drives, gearboxes, couplings and general mechanical equipmentGood knowledge of Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems is essentialFinding and fixing faults safely and efficientlyWelding and fabrication skills essentialRoutine Preventative Maintenance so an understanding of a PPM schedule is advantageousTurning and milling knowledge and experience would be advantageousExperience of working in a medium to heavy industry, particularly aggregates would be advantageousElectrical qualifications would be advantageousWorking as part of a team in a busy manufacturing factory to ensure production targets are metComplete risk assessments when requested.Working to a high standard in health and safety, striving to make site improvements with energy, health and safety and qualityInterested and want to find out more?We offer a working environment where you are encouraged to share experiences to help improve our processes.
