Mechanical Maintenance EngineerLocation: Selby, North YorkshireSalary: £40000 - £43000 plus on call allowance and BenefitsHours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30We’re working with a well-established manufacturing business to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their site maintenance team. This is a hands-on role focused on keeping plant and equipment running efficiently, while supporting both ongoing operations and future improvement projects.The RoleCarry out planned, predictive and reactive mechanical maintenanceRespond to breakdowns, fault find and implement effective repairsComplete preventative maintenance, inspections and greasing schedulesRepair and rebuild equipment including pumps, centrifuges, conveyors, gearboxes and associated componentsSupport improvements to manufacturing processes and site infrastructureWork alongside contractors and specialist service providers where requiredContribute to the development and use of a CMMS for maintenance trackingWork towards a proactive, zero-breakdown maintenance approachMaintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance at all timesWhat We’re Looking ForApprentice trained or qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)Proven experience in a similar maintenance role within an industrial/manufacturing environmentStrong fault-finding and problem-solving abilityExperience with fabrication and welding (TIG, MIG, MMA) is beneficialAble to work independently and manage workload effectivelyComfortable working across production areas, workshops and outdoor environmentsGood communication skills and ability to work across teamsWhat’s On OfferCompetitive salaryCompany pensionLife insurance25 days holiday plus bank holidaysPrivate medical insuranceLength of service bonus
