Mechanical Maintenance EngineerAsh Vale, Hampshire | Full Time, Permanent 7:30am – 4pm Monday to Thursday, 7.30am – 3pm Friday Keep Machines Running. Drive Improvements. Build Something Better.We're looking for a proactive and hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of maintenance activities across a diverse production environment, working on everything from traditional machine tools to modern automated manufacturing equipment.Beyond maintenance, you'll play a key role in site improvement projects and the mechanical assembly of bespoke machinery, giving you exposure to a varied and rewarding workload.Mechanical Maintenance EngineerWhat You'll Be DoingCarrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across a wide range of manufacturing equipment.Diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.Taking ownership of the site's maintenance schedule and helping develop a robust preventative maintenance strategy.Supporting the build, assembly, installation, and commissioning of bespoke machinery.Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement to improve safety, reliability, and operational performance.Working closely with production and engineering teams to ensure equipment remains reliable and efficient.Mechanical Maintenance EngineerWhat We're Looking ForStrong mechanical maintenance experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.Practical experience maintaining machine tools such as lathes, mills, grinders, or similar production equipment.A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently.Time-served apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent mechanical engineering qualification.Why Apply?Diverse range of machinery and engineering challengesOpportunity to take ownership of maintenance activitiesExposure to bespoke machine builds and installation projectsSupportive manufacturing environment with long-term stabilityGenuine opportunity to make a visible impact on business performanceInterested?If you're a mechanically biased engineer who enjoys a hands-on role, thrives on solving problems, and wants the chance to make a real difference within a manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.
