Job description:Role Description This full-time, on-site Mechanical Project Engineer role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Mechanical Project Engineer will oversee the design, coordination, and implementation of mechanical systems for material handling and related industrial projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and client requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and reviewing engineering drawings, coordinating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, and monitoring project progress against schedules and budgets. The role also involves preparing technical documentation, supporting procurement with technical input, and assisting in installation, testing, and commissioning activities. The Mechanical Project Engineer will participate in site meetings, resolve technical issues, and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering and project execution processes.QualificationsSolid foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to design, analysis, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.Experience in Project Engineering and Project Management, including planning, coordination, risk management, and delivering projects within scope, time, and budget.Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), REVIT tools for creating, reviewing, and modifying mechanical layouts, assemblies, and detailed drawings. BIM experience is a added bonus.Knowledge of building interface workshops, coordination and clash detection analysis is a must.Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.Experience in industrial, airport, logistics, or material handling projects is highly beneficial.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and interact with clients and contractors.Ability to work on-site in Dubai and support occasional travel to project locations if required.
