Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Mechanical Site Engineer to oversee the execution of mechanical works related to tanks and piping systems within a major infrastructure project.The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical activities are completed in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and the project schedule.Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the installation and execution of tanks, piping systems, supports, fittings, valves, and associated mechanical works.
- Review approved IFC drawings, shop drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and material submittals before execution.
- Verify piping routes, alignment, levels, slopes, supports, connections, and installation accuracy.
- Coordinate site inspections, pressure testing, flushing, and pre-commissioning activities.
- Ensure mechanical works comply with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and project quality requirements.
- Coordinate closely with Civil, Technical Office, QA/QC, HSE, Procurement, subcontractors, and other site teams.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, manpower, materials, and daily site progress.
- Identify technical issues and site constraints and coordinate timely solutions to avoid delays.
- Raise and follow up on RFIs, inspection requests, and other required technical documentation.
- Verify delivered materials against approved submittals and project specifications.
- Prepare daily progress reports and maintain accurate records of completed mechanical activities.
- Ensure full compliance with project health, safety, and environmental requirements.Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in mechanical construction and site execution.
- Proven experience in tanks, piping systems, and major infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of piping installation, pressure testing, inspection, and commissioning requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, piping layouts, sections, and technical specifications.
- Good understanding of quality control procedures and site safety requirements.
- Strong coordination, communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
