Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Technician to join a leading gas and energy company in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of mechanical equipment and systems, ensuring reliable and safe plant operations in compliance with company and industry standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment, machinery, and associated systems.Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical equipment to minimize downtime.Carry out maintenance and servicing of pumps, compressors, valves, pipelines, motors, gearboxes, and other mechanical systems.Conduct equipment inspections and identify potential mechanical faults or safety hazards.Perform equipment installation, alignment, dismantling, and reassembly as required.Read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, P&IDs, and technical documentation.Assist with shutdown, turnaround, commissioning, and maintenance activities.Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and according to approved procedures.Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts used.Coordinate with the operations and maintenance teams to ensure efficient plant operations.Follow all HSE, permit-to-work, lockout/tagout, and site safety procedures.Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.Report equipment abnormalities and recommend corrective actions to the supervisor.RequirementsDiploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance, or a related field.Relevant experience as a Mechanical Technician, preferably within the gas, oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, or industrial sector.Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.Experience with pumps, compressors, valves, pipelines, and industrial mechanical equipment.Ability to read mechanical drawings and P&IDs.Good understanding of industrial safety and maintenance procedures.Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.GCC experience in a gas or industrial environment will be an advantage.Preferred SkillsKnowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.Familiarity with CMMS or computerized maintenance systems.Good communication and reporting skills.Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
