About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and creative Mechatronics Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of high-performance electromechanical systems and actuators. In this role, you will bridge the gap between mechanical, electrical, and software engineering to develop cutting-edge motion control technologies and automated equipment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional design, test, and manufacturing teams to bring innovative hardware from concept to high-volume production.Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Design & Integration: Design and optimize electromechanical components, integrated actuators, and robotics subsystems.Multidisciplinary Engineering: Seamlessly combine electrical, mechanical, and software elements to deliver reliable, high-performing hardware products.Testing & Automation: Develop comprehensive test plans, build custom test rigs, and design manufacturing automation equipment (e.g., pick-and-place, automated in-line testing).Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure seamless product introduction and design for manufacturability (DFM).Technical Documentation: Document technical specifications, design decisions, schematic layouts, and validation results.R&D & Innovation: Analyze emerging technologies and conduct targeted R&D to continuously improve system efficiency, weight, and performance.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and building mechatronic or electromechanical systems.Electromechanical Depth: Solid understanding of motors, actuators, sensors, microcontrollers, and motion control.Software & Hardware Integration: Practical experience with embedded software development, firmware integration, and circuit design tools.CAD Proficiency: Strong skills in 3D CAD modeling and technical drawing standards.Problem-Solving & Collaboration: Proven track record of working effectively in multidisciplinary team environments with strong attention to detail.Work Authorization: Authorized to work in the United States.Preferred QualificationsExperience in the robotics, drone, industrial automation, or aerospace industries.Familiarity with motor control electronics, drive algorithms, and firmware integration.Hands-on experience with system-level validation, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and rotor/actuator dynamics.Experience designing automated assembly or test fixtures for production environments.What We OfferCompetitive base salary + equity options.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) retirement plan.Generous paid time off (PTO) and company holidays.Collaborative, engineering-first culture working on groundbreaking technology.
