We're hiring: Media Analytics ManagerWe're looking for someone to lead one of the most important practices in our business — proving that DRTV works as a performance marketing channel, and bringing AI into how we prove it.About Smart Response MediaSmart Response Media is a full-service direct response television (DRTV) agency specialising in TV creative production, media planning and buying, direct response social media, and TV shopping campaigns. Founded by former directors of JML and The Broadcast House, our senior leadership team brings unrivalled client-side and agency-side experience of making TV work as a performance marketing tool — with return on investment as the top priority in every part of the business.The roleMedia Analytics Manager - Old Street, London, United Kingdom (minimum 4 days a week from our London office)This is a management-level role with real scope to grow. You'll lead a small team providing our clients with media and creative performance analytics, with ongoing campaign optimisation at its core.Reporting to our Commercial Director, you'll provide best-in-class technology and data insight to continually optimise our clients' DRTV campaigns — helping the whole business and our clients understand what's performing, why, and how to keep improving it.You'll drive new solutions in analysing and improving campaign effectiveness, prove the value of DRTV in our clients' media portfolios, and be the company lead on incorporating AI into our campaign analysis function.You'll also mentor the team, with a focus on interpreting results to drive real optimisations.This is a role for someone taking their next step up after 5+ years in industry — comfortable talking to senior client directors and their teams, and adept at turning complex data into clear, logical recommendations.We need an upbeat, can-do leader who can inspire, coach and guide the team through complex data to the right decisions for each client — a role that's only becoming more important as we grow.What you'll be doing• Lead and develop the analytics team — providing leadership to our analysts, defining and evolving Smart Response's methodologies, tools and frameworks across audience insight and response measurement, and ensuring the team has the engineering capability to integrate data sources and build automated solutions at scale.• Drive commercial growth — we provide campaign analytics free of charge because our clients' success drives our own, so you'll grow our business directly by optimising theirs.• Build and launch new products — partnering with data and technology specialists to develop proprietary analysis products and capabilities, and leading the implementation of AI-enabled data tools, including trend and competitor reporting and augmented campaign reporting.• Take ownership of reporting for key clients — you'll understand the data and reporting methodology for every client, act as a second set of eyes on all analysis before it reaches clients (covering team holidays with ease), and run analysis directly for some clients of your own.What you'll need• 5+ years' experience in a relevant analytical role (media, advertising, marketing or similar), ready for your next step up into leadership; DRTV or broadcast media experience is an advantage.• Team leadership experience in analytics, ideally within a media agency; understanding of immediately-attributable, performance-driven TV advertising is a plus.• A mathematically minded, logical, self-starting problem solver with a keen eye for detail.• High competency in Excel, Google Analytics (including BigQuery) and Power BI, with strong numerical accuracy and an aptitude for sophisticated reporting.• Broad understanding of the marketing analytics landscape — performance measurement, audience insight, social listening, search, paid social and creative effectiveness.• Strong commercial and strategic thinking, able to connect data insights to plans of action and outcomes that resonate with C-suite and board-level stakeholders.• A questioning attitude — you won't take data at face value until you're confident in what you're reporting.• Outstanding communication and storytelling skills, turning complex data into clear, relevant, actionable insight.• Experience developing or launching data products or insight tools, ideally with technology partners, and confidence leading governance and quality standards for AI-assisted analytics.• A hard-working, conscientious, good-humoured and flexible attitude, with a genuine can-do approach.• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Marketing, Media, Business, Economics, Data Analytics) is welcome but not required — equivalent experience, however you gained it, counts just as much.Salary & benefits£50,000–£60,000, dependent on experience, plus a generous Profit Related Bonus scheme and additional employee benefits.Smart Response is owned by its employees via an Employee Ownership Trust, which comes with significant additional benefits — we'll talk you through these at interview stage.
