Our team is at the forefront of understanding public discourse in the Punjab region, diligently monitoring media coverage to uncover key narratives. We translate these observations into vital insights, directly supporting and shaping our strategic objectives.What Would This Role Entail? Media Monitoring: Continuously monitor traditional and social media sources for coverage related to the region, including news articles, social media posts, and online discussions.Narrative Identification: Identify and analyze key narratives, trends, and sentiment within the media landscape.Reporting: Prepare regular reports and summaries of media coverage, highlighting significant developments and potential impact.Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to media coverage, using analytical tools to identify patterns and insights.Collaboration: Work closely with the Narrative Coordination team to provide timely and relevant information to inform strategic decision-making.Content Creation: Assist the content team in the creation of relevant content inputs, briefs, and supporting material based on media monitoring and narrative trends.Regional Focus: Maintain a strong understanding of the political and social landscape of Punjab.Quick Response Support: Assist in identifying urgent developments and support the team in preparing timely inputs for quick response and counter-narrative action.Necessary Qualifications/Skills: Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Political Science, or a related field.Strong analytical and research skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Familiarity with media monitoring tools and techniques.Understanding of the political and social dynamics of Punjab.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Fluent in Punjabi (read, write, speak) and proficient in reading Gurmukhi, along with Hindi and English.Good to Have Skills:Experience in media monitoring or analysis, preferably in a political context.Familiarity with data visualization tools.How to ApplyIf you're a fresh professional looking for a high-impact challenge, interested in joining a team of like-minded and motivated individuals who think strategically, act decisively, and get things done, drop in an email at openings@varaheanalytics.com
