This role includes greeting and preparing patients for visits, recording vital signs, updating medical histories, and assisting with examinations and minor procedures. The Medical Assistant will manage patient flow, support providers with clinical tasks, and ensure exam rooms and equipment are stocked and clean. Additional responsibilities include handling medical records, scheduling appointments, processing basic lab work or specimens, and coordinating with the front office to maintain efficient operations. The role requires consistent attention to patient safety, confidentiality, and respectful, inclusive communication with patients and colleagues.Qualifications Clinical support skills in Medical Assisting and Patient Care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with procedures.Knowledge of Medical Terminology to accurately communicate with clinicians and document patient information.Experience in a Medical Office setting, including appointment scheduling, patient intake, and coordination with administrative staff.Ability to manage and maintain Medical Records, including accurate documentation, electronic health record (EHR) use, and adherence to privacy regulations.Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training; certification or registration as a Medical Assistant preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to respectful, inclusive, and patient-centered care.Organizational skills, attention to detail, and reliability in a fast-paced clinical environment.Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with EHR systems; prior experience in family practice or primary care is a plus.
