This position is responsible for providing direct patient care, performing phlebotomy, assisting physicians with procedures, and supporting efficient day-to-day clinical operations.The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on clinical experience, excellent phlebotomy skills, and a proactive, team-oriented approach to patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care within established clinical standards, policies, protocols, and scope of practice.Escort and room patients promptly and prepare them for examinations and procedures.Obtain and accurately document vital signs and other required patient information.Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection accurately and safely.Assist physicians, advanced practice providers, and nurses during examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.Perform authorized clinical procedures, including vision screenings and selected laboratory testing.Proactively identify patient and family needs and communicate concerns to the appropriate clinical team member.Seek guidance from physicians, advanced practice providers, or nurses when clinical clarification is needed.Prepare e-prescriptions for pharmacy processing when directed by a physician and according to established protocols.Inspect, clean, prepare, and process medical instruments and equipment according to established guidelines.Process specimens for laboratory transport and ensure specimens are properly labeled and handled.Confirm that appropriate laboratory orders have been entered into Epic.Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.Support efficient patient flow and daily clinical operations.Follow all infection prevention, patient safety, privacy, and confidentiality requirements.Assist with coverage at other practice locations when needed.Required Qualifications2+ years of clinical experience in a medical office, clinic, or hospital setting.2+ years of phlebotomy experience.Current BLS certification.Strong hands-on patient care skills.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.Preferred Skills & AttributesStrong clinical thinking and problem-solving skills.Proactive approach to patient care and daily responsibilities.Collaborative and team-oriented attitude.Ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing priorities or unexpected situations.Fast learner who can quickly adapt to new processes, systems, and responsibilities.Experience working with Epic EMR.Strong attention to detail, particularly with specimen handling and clinical documentation.If you have 2+ years of clinical experience and strong phlebotomy skills, we would love to connect with you.
