The practice provides inpatient care at multiple hospitals, including the Medical Center of Aurora, Sky Ridge Medical Center, Littleton Adventist Hospital, North Suburban Hospital, Vibra LTAC, and Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital, as well as outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine services in clinics located in Aurora, Greenwood Village, Thornton, and Hugo. The group has been a leader in implementing modern, evidence-based ICU protocols to optimize care for complex conditions and works closely with hospital quality teams to prevent hospital-acquired conditions and improve patient outcomes.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Medical Assistant role located in Englewood, CO. The Medical Assistant will support clinicians by rooming patients, recording vital signs, reviewing medications, and documenting clinical information in the electronic medical record. Daily tasks include preparing exam rooms, assisting with diagnostic procedures, coordinating referrals, scheduling follow-up appointments, and managing patient flow to ensure timely care. The role also involves handling medical office duties such as answering phones, processing messages, verifying insurance information, and supporting the maintenance and organization of medical records. The Medical Assistant will contribute to a collaborative care environment focused on patient safety, clear communication, and an excellent patient experience.Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in Medical Assisting, including patient intake, vital signs, and clinical support tasks.Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology relevant to pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine.Experience in a Medical Office setting, including scheduling, phone triage, and front/back office workflows.Commitment to high-quality Patient Care, with a focus on empathy, safety, and clear communication.Ability to accurately manage and update Medical Records, preferably in an electronic medical record (EMR) system.Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program; certification or registration as a Medical Assistant is preferred.Basic life support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment.Previous experience in pulmonary, critical care, or related specialty settings is a plus.
