The culture is rooted in the belief that patient care always comes first, creating a supportive environment for both patients and team members.Role Description The Medical Assistant role at Conviva Senior Primary Care is a full-time, on-site position based in Lutz, FL. In this role, the Medical Assistant supports physicians and Care Teams by preparing exam rooms, taking and documenting vital signs, and assisting with examinations and procedures. Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate medical records, updating patient information in the electronic health record, and coordinating patient flow within the medical office. The Medical Assistant also provides direct patient care support, such as administering medications as directed, performing basic clinical tasks, and reinforcing care instructions and wellness education. Additional duties may include scheduling appointments, handling telephone inquiries, and supporting quality and safety initiatives within the clinic.Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in Medical Assisting skills, including support for examinations and basic clinical procedures.Strong understanding of Medical Terminology to communicate effectively with care team members and accurately document patient information.Experience working in a Medical Office setting, including managing patient flow and assisting with administrative tasks.Ability to provide compassionate, senior-focused Patient Care, with attention to wellness, prevention, and clear communication.Competence in maintaining and updating Medical Records, including use of electronic health record systems.High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.Current Medical Assistant certification or registration (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.Effective interpersonal skills, reliability, and the ability to work collaboratively in a physician-led care team environment.Basic computer skills and familiarity with clinical software; bilingual proficiency is a plus.
