About usTo Healthy Feet Podiatry is a four-location podiatry practice in Manhattan. We treat everything from ingrown nails and heel pain to minimally invasive bunion and neuroma surgery, and we see many runners, dancers, and cyclists who want to get back to what they do. Our offices are in Grand Central, the Upper East Side, Times Square, and Downtown.About the roleThis is a full-time, on-site position that combines clinical assisting with concierge-level front desk work. You'll be rooming patients and assisting with procedures in one hour, then greeting patients, verifying benefits, and collecting balances the next. We're looking for someone who's genuinely good at both, not someone waiting to get moved to one side or the other.The role rotates between our four locations based on the provider schedule, so you'll need to be comfortable working out of a different office with a different doctor from one day to the next.On the clinical side, you'llRoom patients, take vitals and history, and prep the room for the providerAssist with in-office procedures including nail procedures, injections, wound care, and castingFit and dispense DME and orthoticsSterilize instruments, stock rooms, and keep clinical areas inspection-readyDocument accurately in ModMed and keep charts closing on timeAt the front desk, you'llSet the tone the moment someone walks in. Every patient should be greeted warmly, by name, and feel taken care of before they sit downCheck patients in and out, manage the schedule, and keep the day moving when it runs behindVerify insurance benefits before the visit and explain clearly what a patient can expect to oweFeel comfortable having the money conversation up front. Part of this job is making sure patients understand their benefits and any possible financial responsibilities.Collect copays and balances, answer calls and Klara messages, and handle referrals and records requestsWhat we're looking forCMA certification is requiredExperience at a concierge-level front desk, whether in medicine, hospitality, or another setting where the standard was high and patients or guests expected to be looked afterSomeone who can explain insurance benefits clearly and confidently, and hold a warm, professional tone with a patient who's frustrated about a billAt least one year in an outpatient practice, ideally one where you did both clinical and front desk workComfort with an EMR; ModMed experience preferredReliable and punctual. We run a tight schedule across four offices, and one person running late moves everyone's dayBilingual is a plusPodiatry, orthopedic, or sports medicine experience is a plusPhlebotomy experience is a plusCompensation and benefits$20 to $25 per hour, depending on experience and certification, plus medical, dental, and vision coverage and paid time off.
