This role involves delivering classroom and laboratory instruction in medical assisting topics, including clinical procedures, administrative duties, and professional standards. The instructor will prepare lesson plans, develop teaching materials aligned with current healthcare practices, and assess student performance through exams, assignments, and skills evaluations. Daily responsibilities include mentoring students, providing constructive feedback, maintaining accurate records of attendance and grades, and ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory guidelines. The Medical Assisting Instructor will also participate in curriculum review, support student readiness for certification exams, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance program quality and student outcomes.QualificationsExperience teaching or training in medical assisting or a related healthcare field, with the ability to explain clinical and administrative concepts clearly.Strong skills in curriculum delivery, lesson planning, and student assessment, including use of current instructional methods and technologies.Proficiency in clinical skills such as vital signs, phlebotomy, injections, patient intake, and basic laboratory procedures, along with knowledge of medical office workflows.Effective communication, interpersonal, and mentorship abilities to support diverse learners and foster an inclusive classroom environment.Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple classes, documentation, and program responsibilities efficiently.Completion of a medical assistant program; certification (e.g., CMA, RMA, CCMA) strongly preferred.Relevant work experience as a medical assistant or in a similar healthcare role in outpatient or clinical settings.Familiarity with electronic health records, basic computer applications, and current healthcare regulations and best practices.
