Our holistic approach combines lifestyle interventions with medical management, supported by data and technology, to deliver scalable solutions and improve health outcomes.The Medical Director, Thailand is NOVI Thailand’s clinical leader and will act as the legally responsible clinic operator and licence holder. The Medical Director is responsible for clinical governance, regulatory compliance, clinical quality and patient safety while also providing direct patient care.RoleClinical leadership and governanceAct as the legally responsible clinic operator and licence holder.Lead and support the clinic licence application, government inspection, licence issuance, maintenance and renewal processes.Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable Thai healthcare laws, regulations, professional standards and licence conditions.Establish and oversee NOVI Thailand’s clinical governance framework.Develop, review, approve and maintain clinical protocols, standard operating procedures and patient-care pathways.Establish appropriate clinical quality, patient-safety, infection-control and emergency-readiness standards.Oversee the quality and completeness of clinical documentation and medical records.Review clinical incidents, complaints, adverse events and patient-safety concerns, and implement appropriate corrective actions.Support the clinic’s preparation for regulatory inspections, clinical audits and licence renewals.Clinical team leadershipSupport the recruitment, credential verification and appointment of physicians and other clinical team members.Participate in the clinical onboarding, training and supervision of physicians, nurses and relevant care-team members.Establish clear responsibilities, escalation procedures and communication standards for the clinical team.Provide clinical guidance to physicians, nurses and patient-care team members.Monitor clinical performance and adherence to approved protocols and standards.Collaborate with the NOVI Singapore Medical Director and Clinical Team to maintain consistency with NOVI’s clinical model while adapting it appropriately for Thailand.Direct patient careConduct in-person and approved telemedicine consultations within the scope of Thai law and professional standards.Assess patients, make diagnoses and identify appropriate treatment options.Develop, approve and communicate individual treatment and care plans.Prescribe and manage medicines and other treatments within the physician’s professional scope and NOVI’s approved protocols.Review laboratory results, clinical measurements and other relevant patient information.Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment or care plans when clinically appropriate.Maintain complete, accurate and timely clinical documentation.Coordinate referrals, follow-up care and escalation to external specialists or healthcare facilities when required.Provide clear education and guidance to patients regarding their diagnoses, treatments and ongoing care.Clinic development and continuous improvementAdvise on the clinical design, equipment, facilities and workflows required for clinic licensing and safe patient care.Support the selection and clinical oversight of laboratories, medical suppliers and other healthcare partners.Contribute to the development and localisation of NOVI Thailand’s services and patient pathways.Collaborate with Operations, Product, Technology, Coaching and Data teams to improve clinical workflows and patient outcomes.Support the responsible use of NOVI’s digital health platform within the clinical-care model.Participate in clinical audit, performance monitoring, service development and continuous improvement.Perform other duties reasonably required in connection with the establishment and operation of NOVI Health Thailand.RequirementsMedical degree from a recognised medical school.Current, unrestricted licence to practise medicine in Thailand, with good standing before the Medical Council of Thailand and no restrictions, conditions or unresolved disciplinary matters that would prevent the candidate from performing the role.All postgraduate training, supervised-practice experience, registrations and certifications required under Thai law and applicable professional standards to practise independently within the clinic's intended scope of services.Legally eligible and willing to act as the clinic operator and licence holder.At least eight years of postgraduate clinical work experience following medical school, including substantial experience practising with independent clinical responsibility.Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership, clinical governance, medical administration or private-clinic operations; prior experience as a Medical Director, Associate Medical Director or equivalent clinical leader is strongly preferred.Relevant clinical experience in metabolic health, diabetes, weight management, preventive medicine, internal medicine or family medicine is preferred.Strong understanding of Thai healthcare regulations, professional obligations and clinical documentation requirements.Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, evidence-based medicine and high-quality patient care.Strong leadership, communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.Patient-centred approach with excellent interpersonal skills.Fluency in Thai and professional working proficiency in English.Comfortable working in a growing healthcare business and collaborating with regional teams.
