Key Responsibilities

Provide medical oversight for psychiatric services across outpatient clinicsSupervise and mentor psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitionersConduct psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planningEnsure compliance with OMH regulations and clinical standardsParticipate in quality assurance, risk management, and performance improvement initiativesMonitor prescribing practices and support safe medication managementCollaborate with clinical and administrative leadership on program development and strategic initiativesSupport interdisciplinary care coordination and participate in case conferencesQualificationsM.D. from an accredited medical schoolActive and unrestricted New York State physician licenseBoard-certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry preferred Active DEA registrationMinimum 3 years of psychiatric clinical experience, preferably in an outpatient setting Leadership or supervisory experience in behavioral health settingsExperience with OMH Article 31 clinics and regulatory standardsFamiliarity with Medicaid/Medicare and value-based care modelsExperience working with serious mental illness populationsSkills:Strong diagnostic and psychopharmacological treatment expertiseExcellent communication and leadership skillsAbility to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teamsCommitment to ethical practice, patient safety, and quality careAdditional InformationReporting Structure:The Medical Director reports to the Chief Executive Officer and Vice President, Chief Clinical Officer and works closely with clinical and program leadership.All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Salary: $325,000 - $350,000/year
