You will work closely with advanced practice providers, nursing teams, facility administrators, and other healthcare professionals to improve clinical outcomes and the overall patient experience.Clinical ResponsibilitiesEvaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditionsPerform comprehensive patient examinations and assessmentsDevelop individualized, evidence-based treatment plansOrder and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, electrocardiograms, and other diagnostic studiesPrescribe medications and other appropriate therapiesEducate patients and families regarding treatment, health maintenance, and disease managementCoordinate referrals and specialty care when appropriateMaintain timely, accurate documentation in the electronic medical recordReview and sign laboratory results and required clinical documentation promptlyCollaborate with facility staff to support continuity and quality of careLeadership ResponsibilitiesServe as Medical Director for assigned facilities, as applicablePartner with the Regional Medical Director, Executive Directors, and Directors of NursingHelp develop and implement programs that improve clinical quality and patient outcomesProvide clinical leadership and guidance to physicians and advanced practice providersSupport a collegial environment focused on professional growth and collaborationParticipate in quality-improvement initiatives within assigned facilitiesQualificationsMD, DO, or equivalent physician degreeBoard certified or board eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, General Practice, or a related specialtyOther medical specialties may be consideredEligible for or currently holding an unrestricted Oregon medical licenseEligible for a DEA registration, NPI number, and prescriptive authorityEligible to participate in Medicare and Medicaid programsStrong communication, documentation, and collaborative-care skillsCommitment to compassionate, patient-centered medicineExperience in primary care, hospital medicine, geriatrics, post-acute care, or skilled nursing is preferred but not required.
