The organization is committed to quality healthcare grounded in compassion, professionalism, and integrity, with a strong focus on community wellbeing.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Medical Doctor role based in Accra. The Medical Doctor will provide general medical consultations, diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions, and coordinate appropriate investigations, including laboratory and diagnostic tests. Daily responsibilities include examining patients, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and providing follow-up care consistent with best clinical practices. The role also involves counseling patients and families on preventive health, participating in health screening programs, and contributing to health education and community outreach initiatives. The Medical Doctor will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, maintain accurate medical records, and uphold CMC’s standards of compassionate, ethical, and patient-focused care.Qualifications Fully qualified Medical Doctor with an accredited medical degree and completed internship/housemanship; valid license to practice medicine with the relevant medical council.Clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and management of common medical, maternal, and preventive health conditions.Ability to order, interpret, and integrate laboratory and diagnostic test results into patient care decisions.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to explain conditions and treatments clearly, and to provide empathetic patient and family counseling.Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, confidentiality, and adherence to clinical guidelines and regulatory standards.Capacity to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative staff.Organizational and time-management skills to handle busy clinic schedules, documentation, and follow-up care efficiently.Interest in preventive medicine, health education, and community outreach, with readiness to support screenings and public health initiatives.Experience in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, or community health is an advantage.Willingness to work in a faith-informed environment that emphasizes compassion, integrity, and respect for all patients, regardless of background.
