The center emphasizes ethical practice, patient dignity, and family involvement to help individuals rebuild healthy, fulfilling lives.Role Description The Medical Officer will work full time on-site in Amritsar, providing clinical care to patients undergoing de-addiction treatment. Responsibilities include performing medical assessments, diagnosing and managing withdrawal symptoms and comorbid conditions, prescribing appropriate medications, and monitoring patient progress. The role involves coordinating care with physicians, nurses, counselors, and other team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. The Medical Officer will maintain accurate medical records, ensure adherence to clinical protocols, participate in patient and family education, and support quality and safety standards within the center.Qualifications Strong foundation in Medicine, including clinical assessment, diagnosis, and management of substance use disorders and related conditions.Demonstrated skills in Patient Care, with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach and ability to work with diverse populations.Experience in Surgery or minor clinical procedures as relevant to inpatient and emergency care settings.Ability to provide Training and clinical guidance to junior staff and support continuous professional development within the team.Experience Working with Physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate integrated treatment and follow-up care.Recognized medical degree (e.g., MBBS) from an accredited institution and valid registration with the appropriate medical council.Prior experience in psychiatry, de-addiction, or rehabilitation settings is highly beneficial.Strong communication, documentation, and decision-making skills, with commitment to ethical practice and patient confidentiality.
