The Medical Officer will be responsible for providing direct patient care, including clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up, in accordance with hospital protocols and best practices. Daily responsibilities include documenting medical histories, ordering and interpreting investigations, coordinating care plans, and working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive patient management. The role may involve assisting in minor procedures or surgeries, responding to emergencies, and participating in clinical rounds. The Medical Officer is also expected to contribute to patient education, support training activities for junior staff, and uphold high standards of clinical quality, safety, and professional conduct.QualificationsStrong foundation in Medicine, with the ability to perform clinical assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning.Demonstrated skills in Patient Care, including compassionate communication, bedside manner, and continuity of care.Experience or interest in Training, mentoring, or supporting junior medical staff and clinical teams.Exposure to or involvement in Surgery, including assisting in procedures and managing pre- and post-operative patients.Proven ability in Working with Physicians and multidisciplinary teams to provide coordinated, team-based care.Recognized medical degree (BAMS/ BHMS or equivalent) from an accredited institution; valid medical registration/license as per local regulations.Basic life support and emergency care skills; advanced life support certification is an advantage.Strong clinical documentation skills and familiarity with hospital information systems.Ability to work in shifts, handle cases in a high-paced environment, and maintain professional ethics and confidentiality.Prior hospital experience in a similar role, especially in multi-specialty or acute care settings, is preferred.
