The successful candidate will provide quality clinical care, assess and manage patients, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient outcomes.The ideal candidate should be clinically sound, professional, compassionate, and capable of working independently while maintaining high standards of patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct patient consultations, medical assessments, and physical examinations.Take accurate medical histories and develop appropriate treatment plans.Diagnose and manage common medical conditions within the scope of practice.Prescribe medications and treatments appropriately.Request and interpret relevant laboratory and diagnostic investigations.Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans when necessary.Provide preventive healthcare advice, patient education, and counselling.Identify cases requiring specialist intervention and make appropriate referrals.Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential patient medical records.Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and provide initial stabilization when required.Collaborate with nurses, laboratory personnel, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.Participate in clinical meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and other healthcare activities.Ensure compliance with clinical, safety, and regulatory standards.Support the overall delivery of a positive patient experience.RequirementsMBBS from a recognized institution.Must have completed NYSC.Minimum of 3 years post-NYSC clinical experience.Must be fully registered and licensed to practice medicine in Nigeria.Current Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) practising licence is required.Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and patient management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Good medical documentation and record-keeping abilities.Strong ethical standards, professionalism, and patient-centred approach.Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.Ability to work independently and manage clinical responsibilities effectively.Ideal CandidateWe are looking for a clinically competent, responsible, empathetic, and patient-focused Medical Officer who can deliver quality care while maintaining professionalism and strong attention to detail.How to ApplyInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV to Thelma@workinnigeria.org
