The hospital emphasizes continuous improvement, modern medical technology, and professional development to maintain its reputation as one of the best hospitals in Islamabad.Role Description The Medical Officer role is a full-time, on-site position based at Life Care International Hospital in Pakistan. The Medical Officer will provide direct patient care, including clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up in accordance with established protocols and ethical standards. Responsibilities include documenting medical histories, ordering and interpreting investigations, assisting with or performing procedures as appropriate, and coordinating care with physicians, surgeons, nurses, and allied health professionals. The Medical Officer will participate in ward rounds, emergency coverage, and outpatient services, while ensuring timely communication with patients and families regarding treatment plans. The role also involves contributing to clinical audits, supporting training activities for junior staff, and adhering to hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.Qualifications Strong foundation in Medicine and clinical decision-making, with the ability to manage common medical conditions independently.Demonstrated Patient Care skills, including thorough assessment, compassionate communication, and safe, evidence-based treatment.Experience in Surgery or assisting in surgical procedures, including pre-operative and post-operative patient management.Ability to work effectively with Physicians and other healthcare professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team.Experience in Training or mentoring junior medical staff, interns, or clinical support teams is an advantage.Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution and valid registration with the relevant medical council in Pakistan.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications, or willingness to obtain them within a specified timeframe.Strong ethical standards, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining accurate and confidential medical records.Ability to work in shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and on-call duties as required.Effective spoken and written communication skills in English and Urdu; additional languages are a plus.
