Job DescriptionThe Medical Officer – Staff Clinic & Vaccination Centre is responsible for providing comprehensive primary healthcare services to hospital employees, managing staff clinic activities, assessing employee fitness and medical leave requirements, supporting occupational health programs, and overseeing vaccination services. The position ensures that medical leave, fitness-for-duty, and work-restriction recommendations are based on appropriate clinical assessment, objective medical evidence, hospital policy, and applicable medical guidelines.Duties & Responsibilities1. Staff Clinical ServicesProvide clinical consultation, examination, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for hospital employees presenting with illness, injury, or other medical conditions.Assess employees who present with illness or medical conditions requiring absence from duty.Review the employee’s clinical history, presenting symptoms, physical findings, relevant investigation reports, and prescribed medications before recommending medical leave.Assess whether an employee is medically unfit to perform his/her assigned duties due to illness, injury, or other medical conditions.Provide appropriate treatment, health advice, and follow-up care within the scope of professional competence.Refer employees to appropriate specialists, hospitals, diagnostic centres, or other healthcare facilities when further assessment or treatment is required.Provide immediate first aid, emergency assessment, stabilization, and referral for workplace medical emergencies.2.
