With locations throughout Howard County, CMG makes access to a health provider in your community easy,Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Medical Doctor role based in Columbia, MD. The Medical Doctor will provide comprehensive primary care, including conducting patient consultations, performing physical examinations, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, and developing individualized treatment plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, coordinating care with specialists, and documenting all encounters in the electronic health record system. The role involves collaborating closely with nurse practitioners, clinical staff, and administrative teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and continuity of services. The Medical Doctor will also participate in preventive care initiatives, patient education, and quality improvement activities consistent with CMG’s standards of excellence.QualificationsMedical degree from an accredited institution and completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.Board certification (or eligibility) in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine and active, unrestricted medical license in the state of Maryland.Demonstrated clinical skills in primary care, including diagnosis, treatment planning, chronic disease management, and preventive care.Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.Proficiency with electronic health records and comfort using modern medical and diagnostic technologies.Strong commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and adherence to evidence-based medicine and quality standards.Experience in outpatient primary care settings is preferred; bilingual or multilingual communication skills are a plus.Willingness to participate in continuous professional development, quality improvement, and practice-wide initiatives.
