MEDICAL PLANNER / SENIOR ARCHITECT

Position OverviewTakamul PMC is seeking an experienced Medical Planner / Senior Architect to lead healthcare planning and architectural design reviews across major healthcare projects. The role involves close coordination with clients, end users, and design consultants to deliver functional, compliant, and high-quality healthcare facilities.Key ResponsibilitiesLead medical planning and architectural design reviews for inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, and support departments.Develop and review functional programs, space programs, departmental layouts, and pre-concept designs.Engage with clients and end users to understand clinical workflows, operational requirements, and departmental adjacencies.Review and manage healthcare design consultant deliverables, ensuring compliance with project requirements and standards.Provide guidance on medical equipment planning and clinical functionality.Coordinate with architectural, MEP, structural, and specialist consultants.Review shop drawings, material samples, mock-ups, finishes, RFIs, and technical submissions related to architectural works.Act as a key client interface for medical planning and architectural matters.Ensure compliance with FGI, JCI, MOH, CBAHI, Saudi Building Code, Municipality, and Civil Defense requirements.RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Architecture.15+ years of professional experience, including 10+ years in healthcare/hospital planning and design.8+ years of healthcare planning experience in Saudi Arabia.Strong knowledge of healthcare planning, clinical workflows, and hospital design standards.Proficiency in relevant design, BIM, and presentation software.Architectural registration and LEED / EDAC certification are preferred.Fluent in Arabic and English.Must be currently based in Saudi Arabia with a transferable Iqama.
