Apply & track with Apply EdgeManaging DirectorJob DescriptionSmoketown Family Wellness Center (SFWC) is an innovative model for health care delivery that focuses on the primary prevention of chronic disease by combining clinical care with healthy lifestyle and social determinants of health in a community-based setting. The role of Managing Director is to manage our pediatric practice and the Center as a whole. Purpose: This is a full-time position that will report to the Board of Directors and will be responsible for managing the administrative aspects of the Wellness Center. The Managing Director has overall responsibility for leading, both operationally and fiscally, while working collaboratively with the physicians and Board on strategy and vision. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the daily operations and supervision of the practice. Responsible for hiring, training and managing office staff, addressing staff issues, and providing regular performance reviews. Concerns will be reported to physicians.Oversee billing and revenue cycle management with regular feedback to physicians and Board of Directors.Effectively communicate the Center’s mission, vision, and goals internally to staff as well as to community partners and potential funders.Collaborate with physicians, Board of Directors and staff to enact strategic direction, goals and objectives, inspiring commitment to the Center’s vision and mission.Responsible for employee payroll including management of employee time sheets. Oversee financial well-being of the Center in partnership with accountant: billing, banking, budgeting and accounting. Oversee financial best practices and procedures.Manage contractors including billing, accounting, cleaning staff and interpretation services.Maintain insurance policies including liability, malpractice and Directors & Officers insurance. Maintain all practice policies for SFWC.Maintain hospital privileges for providers and referral partnerships through Greater Louisville Medical Society CAPS.Serve as Compliance Officer assuring regulatory compliance with all federal, state and local regulations. Maintain facilities, order supplies. Organize and execute efficient, routine staff meetings that build camaraderie and address concerns to optimize clinic flow and care for families.Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Education: Proven collaborative leadership and management skills, including ability to work in a multidisciplinary team setting.Knowledgeable of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion policies and procedures with proven track record in modeling cultural competency and respect for all.Minimum 2 years of experience in medical office leadership position. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Experience in leading and supervising medical staff. Ability to work calmly and efficiently in stressful situations. Pediatric experience is preferred. Medical coding knowledge is preferred. Graduate level work in business and healthcare preferred.
