We are seeking an experienced Medical Scheduler to join our team supporting a pediatrics practice. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients calling to schedule appointments, requiring strong phone etiquette, accurate categorization of appointment types, and the judgment to identify when a call needs to be escalated to a clinical triage team. The ideal candidate has hands-on eClinicalWorks (ECW) experience and a background in pediatric scheduling.Key ResponsibilitiesAnswer inbound patient calls promptly and professionally to schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointmentsAccurately categorize appointment types (well-child visits, sick visits, follow-ups, immunizations, physicals, etc.) to ensure correct provider and time-slot assignmentIdentify calls requiring clinical judgment (urgent symptoms, medication questions, triage-level concerns) and forward them appropriately to the nursing/triage teamVerify and update patient demographic and insurance information at time of schedulingSchedule appointments accurately within eClinicalWorks (ECW), including provider-specific scheduling templates and blocksCommunicate clearly with parents/guardians regarding appointment prep, required documents, or pre-visit instructionsManage scheduling conflicts, waitlists, and same-day/urgent appointment requestsMaintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines at all timesDocument all calls and scheduling actions accurately in the EMRCoordinate with front office and clinical staff to keep schedules optimized and minimize gaps or overbookingQualificationsMinimum 1–2 years of experience as a medical scheduler or front desk/call center role in a healthcare settingHands-on experience with eClinicalWorks (ECW) requiredPrior experience in a pediatrics practice or scheduling pediatric appointments strongly preferredStrong understanding of appointment types and ability to triage calls appropriatelyExcellent verbal communication and active listening skills, especially when speaking with parents/caregiversComfortable in a high-call-volume environmentWorking knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy standardsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsPerksPermanent Work From HomeLeave CreditsMonetary AllowanceAnnual BonusWeekly PaychecksFixed Weekends OffThriving Company Culture with Complete AutonomyExclusive Specialized Training ProgramsUnlock Your Potential with a Highly Competitive Salary____________________________________________________________________Who are we?BizForce is one of the fastest-growing global outsourcing companies in the world, founded in the US in Tucson, Arizona and is now operational in PH!Our Commitment to delivering high-quality results for our clients and the only way to do that is ensuring a rewarding, respectful and productive experience for our employees.
