Purpose of the Role The Medical Science Liaison role focuses on engaging stakeholders (including healthcare professionals, payors, and patient advocacy groups) in non-promotional, scientific discussions, activities and interactions, on NewBridge’s Ultra Rare Portfolio, for the central region.The Medical Science Liaison will communicate scientific information and facilitate dialogue about Newbridge’s Ultra Rare Portfolio, consistent with the objectives of the Medical Affairs Function, and NewBridge overall, and in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, NewBridge’s Code of Conduct, policies, procedures and accepted standards of best practice.Required Competencies, Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Pharmacy or Life SciencesMinimum of 1 – 3 years of experience in Medical Affairs (MSL/Medical advisor), preferably within an MNCExperience in specialty therapeutic area is essential, Rare Disease is an advantageExcellent communication and presentation skillsStrong ability to engage and influence scientific stakeholdersFluent in English and ArabicResponsibilities & Accountabilities 1) Scientific Interactions and Engagement with KMEs Keep up to date with the latest scientific research and clinical data relevant to the assigned therapy areas and products.Identify, build, and manage a network of KMEs for the assigned therapy areas and productsProvide scientific, fair and balance information to KMEs and scientific community.Help shape new treatment paradigms through scientific exchange with KMEs.Lead meetings with KMEs to discuss relevant scientific literature and address their scientific enquiries.Conduct educational presentations to external stakeholders.Provide timely responses to medical information requests from the field force as well as from the HCPs in relation to the assigned therapy areas and products.Gather feedback and advice about company products through peer-to-peer interactions and through advisory boards.Train and develop speakers on the company’s products and manage the related speaking engagement schedules.Lead and assist in the organization of key external National and Regional medical education events e.g. satellite symposia, 3rd party congresses, NewBridge summits, etc.Manage any scientific/research support request form the HCPs such as but not limited to, publication support, investigator-initiated study, educational program, or educational / research grant, etc.2) Internal InteractionsAct as a therapeutic area expert within the organizationSupport evidence generation activities (IIS, publications, research collaborations)Contribute to medical strategy execution and cross-functional initiativesSupport development and review of scientific materials3) ComplianceAct with high standards of compliance and ethics.Ensure all the medical interaction and activities with HCPs is informed, balanced, current, and conducted with a high standard of compliance and in accordance with Newbridge’s Code of Conduct, and relevant local and international codes of ethical business practices.Adheres to all applicable laws, regulations and NewBridge SOPs, as well as to the high integrity standards as set forth by NewBridge Compliance Department.
