Apply & track with Apply EdgeSenior Regional Medical Affairs Manager – Women’s CancerLocation/Territory: Western Germany – Cologne, Frankfurt, Bonn and surrounding areasThe RoleWe are seeking a Senior Regional Medical Affairs Manager – Women’s Cancer to join a field-based Medical Affairs team covering Western Germany.The successful candidate will act as a key scientific liaison between the organisation and external experts, clinical investigators, study groups and healthcare professionals within gynaecological oncology. The role will be responsible for implementing the regional medical strategy, developing strong scientific partnerships and generating valuable insights to support internal strategic planning and ultimately improve patient care.This is a highly externally focused position requiring strong scientific credibility, excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build long-term relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a proactive regional Medical Affairs strategy aligned with the wider medical strategy and regional healthcare environment.Build and maintain strong relationships with KOLs, external experts, clinical investigators, study groups and healthcare professionals within women's cancer.Conduct evidence-based scientific dialogue with external experts and healthcare professionals regarding clinical data, scientific questions, treatment approaches and medical projects.Develop and execute regional engagement strategies using an omnichannel approach, including appropriate digital channels.Establish and expand a strong regional network of medical and scientific stakeholders.Identify and communicate regional medical insights, unmet needs and healthcare dynamics to inform wider internal strategy.Respond to medical and scientific enquiries from physicians, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.Provide appropriate medical support to commercial colleagues regarding safety-related matters and complex medical questions, in accordance with applicable procedures and compliance requirements.Initiate and support scientific projects and Investigator-Sponsored Studies (ISS).Organise and deliver regional medical education events, scientific meetings and other educational activities.Participate in national and international congresses and medical education events, representing the organisation at medical-scientific information booths where required.Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical, Commercial, Clinical Development, Regulatory and other internal teams.Support the successful delivery of product launches from a Medical Affairs perspective.Manage multiple projects and priorities effectively within a fast-paced pharmaceutical environment.Contribute to appropriate budget and financial management of regional Medical Affairs activities.RequirementsUniversity degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences or another relevant scientific discipline; a PhD/doctorate is advantageous.Several years of experience within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, ideally in a field-based Medical Affairs role.Strong scientific background and experience within oncology, ideally gynaecological oncology/women's cancer.Proven experience engaging with KOLs, healthcare professionals, clinical investigators and external scientific stakeholders.Experience supporting or contributing to product launches.Strong understanding of the German healthcare system and pharmaceutical environment.Knowledge of drug development, GCP, pharmaceutical compliance and relevant industry codes and regulations.Excellent scientific communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.Fluent German and English, both written and spoken.Basic understanding of financial and budget management.Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively across Western Germany.Preferred Skills & AttributesStrategic and creative approach to Medical Affairs with the ability to translate scientific insights into actionable strategy.Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.Confident, proactive and independent working style.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise effectively.High level of resilience, flexibility and adaptability.Comfortable working within a cross-functional and matrix environment.Strong scientific curiosity and a genuine interest in improving outcomes for patients with women's cancers.
