At FarmaMondo, we are committed to closing this gap—bringing life-changing treatments to international markets and ensuring that where you live never defines the care you receive.To support the strong growth of the Group and reinforce our medical affairs efforts, FarmaMondo is currently seeking a Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) for Saudi Arabia, based in Riyadh.Reporting to the Managing Director & General Manager MENA with a dotted line to the Market Access Manager KSA, the MSL will drive and implement medical affairs and scientific engagement activities across the Kingdom, with a strong focus on the rare disease therapeutic area.The position is based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with regular travel across the country to engage healthcare professionals, hospital networks, scientific societies and patient organisations.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESStakeholder Engagement & Scientific PartnershipBuild and maintain professional scientific relationships with the local rare disease healthcare community, including HCPs, KOLs and leading experts, key hospital accounts, scientific societies and patient organisations.Deliver evidence-based, balanced and compliant scientific information, and discuss novel therapeutic solutions with key stakeholders.Lead scientific discussions that support the inclusion of rare disease treatments in hospital formularies and/or the definition of treatment algorithms.Organise and lead Advisory Boards, Expert Meetings and Medical Information sessions.Build and maintain strong relationships with rare disease scientific societies and patient advocacy groups active in Saudi Arabia.Patient Access & Medical SupportSupport the access pathway for newly initiated patients, working with Market Access and supply teams so the process runs smoothly from treatment initiation to medication availability.Ensure timely, compliant responses to internal and external medical information requests.Provide appropriate and timely medical support to the Commercial and Market Access teams, in line with local standards, regulations (including Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) requirements) and internal policies.Strategy & Cross-Functional CollaborationImplement medical field activities in line with FarmaMondo's strategic objectives in Saudi Arabia.Plan and execute strategic and tactical field activities that support the country's medical affairs plan, based on insights collected from KOLs and other stakeholders.Support the development of country business cases and provide medical and scientific input to build the team's business development capabilities.As part of the regional team, share insights and feedback from external stakeholders to support meaningful business cases.Partner with Market Access, Commercial and Regulatory teams to ensure patient-focused activities.Carry out operational tasks when needed, in support of the wider Medical Affairs and country teamQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEPharmacist (BPharm/PharmD) or Medical Doctor (MD). An advanced degree in life sciences (MSc/PhD) is also considered.Minimum 3 years' experience as a Medical Scientific Liaison, Medical Advisor or in a similar field-based Medical Affairs role.Solid, hands-on experience in rare diseases, neurology or haematology is essential.Knowledge of Saudi pharmaceutical regulations (SFDA, etc.) and of pricing, access and funding pathways (MOH, NUPCO, tenders, private funding or other settings).Experience contributing to business cases based on patient funnel, patient journey and insights from local or regional KOLs.Ability to respond to medical information requests in a compliant and timely manner.Track record of engagement across all phases of the product life cycle, from pre-launch and launch to maturity, extension or withdrawal.Experience engaging with scientific societies and patient organisations.Excellent English, written and spoken.
