Medical Technician - Cardiology

Remuneration: $30 - $40 per hour ($60,000 - $80,000) + super | Full Time or Part Time | Melbourne VICRun ECGs and fit Holter and blood pressure monitors across our Heartscope clinics in Melbourne.Heartscope, part of Scope Healthcare, is one of Melbourne's largest cardiac diagnostic providers, with over 15 locations across the city.We're now looking for a Medical Technician to join our cardiology team. This is a hands-on, patient-facing role. You'll run tests and prepare patients for their scans, alongside our cardiologists and sonographers.What You Will DoPerform ECGs. Place the electrodes, record a clean trace and pass it on for reportingFit Holter and blood pressure monitors. Program each monitor, fit it, explain how to wear it, then download the recording when it comes backPrepare patients for stress echocardiograms. Attach the ECG electrodes and blood pressure cuff, and assist the cardiologist during the testKeep accurate records. Enter results and patient details in HealthTrack, in line with privacy requirementsLook after supplies and equipment. Keep electrodes and consumables stocked, and the equipment clean and workingRequirementsYou're careful with detail and good at putting patients at ease, including people who are nervous about their tests.We're looking for:A background in nursing, medicine or science.
