This role is responsible for assessing medical information and risk factors to evaluate applications for insurance coverage and determine appropriate terms, conditions, and premiums. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing medical records and reports, analyzing risk in line with underwriting guidelines, and documenting decisions accurately. The Medical Underwriter will collaborate with insurance brokers and internal teams to clarify medical findings, communicate decisions, and support the development of suitable insurance solutions. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of medical underwriting practices, regulatory requirements, and company policies to ensure consistent and compliant decision-making.Qualifications Strong foundation in Medical Underwriting and Underwriting, with the ability to evaluate medical risk and apply relevant guidelines.Knowledge of Insurance principles and products, including health and life insurance coverage structures.Well-developed Analytical Skills to interpret medical data, statistics, and risk factors accurately.Clear and professional Communication skills for interacting with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders.Relevant academic background in insurance, healthcare, finance, or a related field.Prior experience in medical underwriting or a similar insurance role is highly beneficial.Attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work with confidential medical information responsibly.Proficiency with standard office software and underwriting systems; familiarity with local regulatory requirements in the UAE is a plus.
