The role will primarily focus on treatment operations, equipment performance, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of treatment equipment, supporting preventive and corrective maintenance activities, and working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, HSE, and Collection teams to maintain safe and efficient plant operations.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and support the day-to-day operation of medical waste treatment processes and equipment.Operate and monitor medical waste treatment equipment, including sterilization, thermal treatment, shredding, and related processing systems.Monitor critical treatment parameters such as temperature, pressure, processing time, and other operational indicators to ensure effective treatment.Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment availability and minimize downtime.Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and equipment-related failures and coordinate with maintenance teams to restore operations efficiently.Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues before they lead to operational interruptions.Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability, equipment efficiency, and overall operational performance.Collaborate with the Operations team to identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the treatment process.Coordinate with the medical waste collection team when required to ensure smooth and continuous treatment operations.Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements and applicable medical waste management regulations.Prepare and maintain technical reports related to equipment performance, maintenance activities, operational issues, and treatment operations.Participate in equipment upgrades, plant improvement initiatives, and CAPEX projects.Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and HSE teams to ensure safe, reliable, and continuous plant operations.Support risk assessments, troubleshooting activities, and emergency response procedures related to equipment and treatment operations.Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, energy efficiency, resource utilization, and overall plant performance.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in plant operations, medical waste treatment, treatment equipment, medical/biomedical equipment, maintenance, or a related field.Professional membership/registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) under a relevant medical/biomedical engineering classification.Practical knowledge of equipment operation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.Understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.Ability to analyze equipment and operational issues and provide effective solutions.Strong coordination and communication skills.Ability to work independently and take responsibility for plant operations and equipment performance.Willingness to work on-site at the Riyadh facility.Knowledge of medical waste treatment processes and equipment is highly preferred.Experience in a plant or treatment facility environment is preferred.
