This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining core components of Nativelink’s build and simulation platform, with a focus on performance, scalability, and developer experience. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing high-quality code, reviewing peer contributions, debugging complex issues across distributed systems, and improving tooling and automation for internal and external users. The team member will collaborate closely with product, infrastructure, and customer-facing teams to refine requirements, prototype solutions, and deliver reliable features from concept to production. The role also includes contributing to technical architecture discussions, documenting designs and best practices, and helping shape engineering standards and culture as the company grows.Qualifications Strong software engineering skills in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Go, Rust, C++, Python) and experience building production-quality systems.Experience with developer tooling, build systems, or simulation frameworks, including familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation practices.Understanding of distributed systems concepts, such as concurrency, fault tolerance, networking, and performance optimization.Proficiency with Unix-like environments, scripting, and modern version control workflows (e.g., Git, code review tools).Ability to analyze complex technical problems, conduct careful experimentation, and make data-informed decisions.Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.Comfort working on-site in a collaborative environment, participating in design sessions, pair programming, and live debugging.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior work on infrastructure, tooling, or safety-critical systems is a plus.
