This position is responsible for assisting members with everyday banking needs, including opening and maintaining accounts, processing deposits and withdrawals, and answering questions about credit union products and services. The specialist handles phone and in-person inquiries, resolves member issues, and provides guidance on digital banking tools to support a positive member experience. The role also includes identifying member needs, making appropriate product and service recommendations, and accurately completing transactions and documentation in accordance with credit union policies.QualificationsStrong Customer Service and Customer Experience skills to support members with empathy, professionalism, and efficiency.Excellent Communication and Phone Etiquette skills for clear, courteous interaction with members in person and over the phone.Basic Sales and cross-selling abilities to identify member needs and recommend suitable financial products and services.Attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash, processing transactions, and maintaining member records.Comfort with computers and banking systems; ability to learn new software and digital tools quickly.Prior experience in financial services, retail banking, or a member-facing role is required.High school diploma or equivalent required.Ability to work on-site in Chicago, IL, maintain confidentiality, and uphold regulatory and compliance standards.
