The role involves providing specialized support to adolescents experiencing suicidal ideation or self-harm behaviors, including crisis intervention and long-term care coordination. The position requires expertise in adolescent mental health and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct risk assessments for adolescents presenting with suicidal ideation or self-harm behaviors.
- Develop and implement individualized safety plans in collaboration with healthcare providers and family members.
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to adolescents in distress.
- Coordinate care with schools, community organizations, and mental health professionals.
- Document all interactions and maintain compliance with privacy and ethical guidelines.Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field required.
- Licensed or license-eligible in clinical mental health counseling or social work.
- Experience working with adolescents in crisis or behavioral health settings.
- Knowledge of evidence-based interventions for self-harm and suicide prevention.
