If you are ready to be part of the team shaping Dubai’s skyline, your future starts here.As a BIM Coordinator, you will responsible for managing and coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes for landscape and swimming pool construction projects. The role ensures accurate, coordinated MEP/irrigation/pool services models that align with landscape, civil, and architectural disciplines, supporting design accuracy, construction efficiency, and on-time delivery.
Responsibilities
Develop, manage, and coordinate MEP BIM models (Revit/Navisworks) covering pool mechanical services, irrigation, drainage, and electrical works, in line with the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and LOD requirements.Conduct multidisciplinary clash detection and coordination (MEP vs. Landscape/Civil/Architecture) using Navisworks or similar tools, and drive timely resolution with design and site teams.Coordinate with landscape consultants, pool contractors, MEP subcontractors, and irrigation specialists to ensure model accuracy and constructability of pool plant rooms, pipework, filtration systems, and irrigation networks.Review and validate shop drawings, coordinated drawings, and MEP models against design intent and site conditions, particularly for pool balance tanks, plant rooms, and underground services.Attend and lead BIM coordination meetings (ICE sessions), documenting issues, decisions, and action items.Ensure BIM models comply with project standards, naming conventions, and data requirements (BS 1192 / ISO 19650 or client-specific standards).Extract and manage MEP quantities, coordinate drawings, and 2D outputs from BIM models for construction and procurement use.Support site teams by providing coordinated model outputs, spatial coordination guidance, and clash resolution reports for pool and landscape services.Maintain version control and manage model federation across disciplines using Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms.Coordinate with the BIM Manager to ensure adherence to overall project BIM strategy and delivery milestones.Identify and flag potential design/coordination risks early, especially those specific to pool hydraulics, irrigation networks, and underground utility clashes.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related field.Minimum 5–8 years of experience in MEP BIM coordination, with a strong focus on landscape and swimming pool construction projects.Proven UAE experience is essential, with familiarity with local authority requirements (Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Civil Defence, Trakhees, as applicable).Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM 360/ACC or similar CDE platforms.Strong understanding of ISO 19650 / BS 1192 BIM standards and LOD frameworks.Solid technical knowledge of pool mechanical/hydraulic systems (filtration, circulation, balance tanks), irrigation systems, drainage, and electrical/low current services for landscape environments.
