MEP BIM Engineer

Role Description The Electrical BIM Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The person in this position will develop and manage electrical BIM models, coordinate with MEP and architectural teams, and ensure alignment with project requirements and standards. Day-to-day tasks include producing and updating construction drawings, performing clash detection, validating model accuracy, and preparing detailed documentation for design reviews and construction. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, civil and mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve design issues and support timely project delivery. The Electrical BIM Engineer will also contribute to improving BIM workflows and implementing best practices across projects.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong skills in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and be able to create, manage, and review detailed electrical/mechanical models.Candidates should possess skills in the handover stage [LOD500] and be able to produce and interpret accurate plans and details for MEP systems.Candidates should possess skills in Construction Drawings and be able to produce and interpret accurate plans, sections, and details for electrical systems.Candidates should possess skills related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) coordination, including integration of electrical designs with other building services.Candidates should possess an understanding of Architecture to ensure electrical layouts align with spatial, functional, and aesthetic project requirements.Candidates should possess knowledge of Civil Engineering fundamentals to coordinate electrical infrastructure with structural and site elements.Relevant skills such as proficiency in BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD, etc..), familiarity with local and international electrical codes and standards, and experience with clash detection tools are highly beneficial.A bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline, along with prior experience in BIM-based design within building or infrastructure projects, is preferred.Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team are expected.Contract durationMinimum of 3 months
