Job SummaryExperienced MEP Coordinator with 10+ years of experience in MEP coordination, construction, and site execution. Proven expertise in coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Fighting, and other building services with architectural and structural disciplines. Strong experience in clash detection, clash analysis, and clash resolution, ensuring coordinated and constructible MEP systems while minimizing rework, delays, and site conflicts.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) services with architectural, structural, civil, and other disciplines.Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, design drawings, specifications, schedules, and BIM models to identify coordination issues.Perform detailed clash detection and resolution between MEP, structural, and architectural elements.Analyze clashes and develop practical and technically compliant solutions before site installation.Coordinate MEP systems using BIM coordination platforms and software such as Autodesk Revit and Navisworks.Prepare, review, and update coordinated MEP shop drawings and BIM models.Participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and project management teams.Prepare and maintain clash reports, coordination reports, RFI logs, and technical documentation.Follow up on outstanding clashes and ensure that all identified issues are resolved within the required timeframe.Coordinate HVAC ductwork, chilled water piping, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, electrical containment, cable trays, equipment, and other MEP services.Ensure adequate space, access, clearance, and maintenance requirements are considered during coordination.Coordinate MEP service routes with beams, columns, slabs, ceilings, walls, shafts, and other architectural and structural elements.Review site conditions and identify discrepancies between approved drawings, BIM models, and actual installation.Provide technical solutions for site coordination problems and assist site teams in resolving installation conflicts.Coordinate with MEP site engineers and subcontractors to ensure correct implementation of coordinated drawings.Review MEP material and equipment layouts to ensure proper coordination with other disciplines.Review technical submittals, material submissions, method statements, and RFIs related to MEP works.Assist in reviewing design changes and assessing their impact on existing MEP coordination.Monitor MEP installation progress and ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.Conduct regular site inspections to verify coordinated MEP installation and identify potential clashes before they occur.Coordinate builders’ work openings, sleeves, penetrations, equipment spaces, access panels, and service clearances.Coordinate ceiling services and ensure proper integration of lighting, HVAC, fire fighting, sprinkler, plumbing, and other services.Coordinate plant rooms, riser shafts, service corridors, ceiling voids, and congested MEP areas.Work closely with architectural and structural teams to resolve interface issues and avoid rework.Attend technical and progress meetings and provide updates on coordination status and unresolved issues.Assist in preparing as-built drawings and updated BIM models based on approved site changes.Ensure all resolved clashes and approved coordination changes are reflected in the latest drawings and models.Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, coordination comments, clash reports, RFIs, and approvals.Support project management in achieving project milestones, quality requirements, and timely completion.Identify potential construction risks related to MEP coordination and recommend preventive measures.Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, applicable codes, standards, and authority requirements.Provide technical guidance and coordination support to junior engineers, draftsmen, and MEP subcontractors.Promote effective communication between design, engineering, procurement, and construction teams.Required Qualifications & Technical SkillsBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.10+ years of relevant experience in MEP coordination, BIM coordination, or related construction/design roles.Strong experience in MEP coordination, including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical, and other building services.Proven experience in clash detection and resolution.Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit MEP.Proficiency in Navisworks Manage for clash detection, coordination, and reporting.Strong understanding of BIM coordination and multidisciplinary model coordination.Proficiency in AutoCAD, with the ability to review and understand MEP drawings.Experience with BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) for model sharing and coordination.Ability to review MEP models and identify design and construction conflicts.Ability to coordinate MEP systems with architectural and structural models.Strong understanding of MEP shop drawings, technical drawings, and construction documents.Ability to prepare, document, monitor, and track clash reports through resolution.Good knowledge of BIM standards, workflows, and coordination procedures.Strong problem-solving, communication, coordination, and attention-to-detail skills.
