MEP Engineer

Job SummaryKhatib & Alami is seeking an experienced MEP Engineer to join our Consultancy Supervision Team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating MEP works on building projects, ensuring that all installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, and relevant UAE standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise MEP works including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related building services.Review approved drawings, material submissions, method statements, and technical documents.Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, and quality standards.Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other disciplines to resolve technical and site-related issues.Inspect completed and ongoing MEP works and identify non-conformities.Review inspection requests, shop drawings, and technical submissions.Monitor project progress and provide technical feedback to the Project Manager.Ensure MEP installations comply with applicable UAE codes, authority requirements, and project specifications.Participate in testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover activities.Maintain proper site inspection records, reports, and documentation.Coordinate with civil, architectural, structural, and other engineering disciplines.RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in building construction and consultancy supervision.Strong experience in MEP systems for high-rise, commercial, residential, or mixed-use building projects.UAE/GCC project experience is preferred.Strong knowledge of MEP installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning.Good understanding of UAE authority requirements and applicable international standards.Consultancy experience is preferred/mandatory depending on project requirements.Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
