This role involves planning, coordinating, and ensuring the proper installation, testing, and functioning of MEP systems. The successful candidate ensures strict adherence to industry standards, safety protocols, and project requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesMEP Project Planning & ManagementLead planning: Oversee design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning.Align resources: Ensure MEP work meets timelines and budget constraints.Coordinate departments: Work closely with civil and structural teams.Review specifications: Verify project drawings comply with MEP requirements.Site SupervisionOversee installations: Monitor HVAC, fire protection, electrical distribution, water supply, and drainage.Manage subcontractors: Track performance to ensure compliance with quality and safety regulations.Inspect quality: Conduct regular site inspections to assess work and resolve issues.Stakeholder CoordinationCollaborate daily: Align with architects, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.Resolve conflicts: Fix design clashes between MEP systems and building structures.Liaise with authorities: Manage permits and inspections with external regulatory bodies.Quality Control & SafetyEnforce standards: Ensure MEP systems meet performance and quality benchmarks.Implement protocols: Maintain safety procedures across all MEP construction works.Mitigate risks: Identify potential installation hazards and implement timely solutions.Testing, Commissioning & HandoverSupervise testing: Verify all MEP systems function according to the design.Manage handovers: Ensure operational systems meet client requirements.Provide technical support: Resolve engineering issues during final project phases.Documentation & ReportingMaintain records: Track MEP designs, installation logs, and inspection reports.Generate updates: Prepare weekly and monthly progress, delay, and challenge reports.Finalize data: Ensure delivery of accurate as-built drawings and operation manuals.Team Leadership & DevelopmentMentor staff: Guide the internal MEP team toward smooth task execution.Organize training: Enhance team skills regarding advanced MEP systems.Resolve conflict: Address and manage internal team challenges efficiently.Required QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.Total Experience: 8–9 years in the building construction industry.Management Experience: Minimum 5 years in an MEP supervisory or management role.Industry Type: Prior experience with contracting companies handling complex building projects is highly preferred.Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of MEP systems, building codes, and regulations.
