MEP Manager

NOW HIRING AN MEP MANAGER Our client is a leading developer in Dubai.The Role:The MEP Manager will lead the successful delivery of all MEP works across assigned projects, from initial inception and pre-concept through to handover, testing, and commissioning. The role involves full oversight of the MEP design and construction lifecycle, including coordination with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to keep design, procurement, and construction aligned and delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead MEP delivery across assigned projects, providing clear direction to consultants and contractors on both design and construction.Support the preparation of RFP design briefs and MEP scopes of work, ensuring all project requirements are captured.Manage design across all phases, including technical submission reviews and all authority submissions and approvals, in line with the agreed programme.Act as the main point of contact for consultants and contractors, coordinating with internal design, commercial, procurement, and planning teams.Review and provide feedback on design and construction durations and programmes issued by consultants, contractors, and the internal planning team.Coordinate with the commercial team to control MEP design and construction costs and avoid cost overruns.Evaluate contractor submissions and value engineering proposals through to contract award.Oversee the technical documentation and scope for directly procured items, including light fixtures and vertical transportation systems.Coordinate with the Authority Interface team on design stage submissions, approvals, and the final building completion certificate.Manage and respond to MEP-related TQs and PTCs, and handle queries from procurement and commercial teams.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in MEP design and technical management Experience working with developers and/or consultantsExpert in Mechanical / HVAC with a strong understanding of the other disciplines (Electrical, ELV, etc.)Strong residential and commercial project experienceProven expertise in full MEP design reviews and in managing MEP value engineeringExperience developing consultant and contractor briefs and scopes of workExperience coordinating with Dubai authorities (Dubai Municipality, DEWA, DCD, etc.)High proficiency in MS Office, with added experience using AconexStrong leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skillsRelevant discipline-specific professional registration is desirable
