MEP Project Manager

We are seeking a hands-on Project Manager to support a large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure upgrade for a major telecom client. This individual will play a key role onsite at a high-profile switching facility, overseeing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) workstreams while ensuring safe and timely project execution. (70% electrical, 20% mechanical, 10% other).This is a highly visible role requiring strong field presence, leadership, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced construction environment.This person will be supporting a project onsite in Silver Spring, MD through the next year or so at which point, they will be transitioned to new projects in the PA/NJ/DE areas.Key Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day field operations across MEP trades (mechanical, electrical, plumbing).Manage and coordinate subcontractors and tradespeople (up to a dozen workers onsite at a time).Lead field execution for infrastructure upgrades within a mission-critical telecom/data center environment.Interpret and work from construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.Monitor project progress, identify risks, and ensure alignment with construction timelines.Serve as the onsite point of contact between internal teams, subcontractors, and client stakeholders.Utilize Procore (or similar construction management systems) for documentation, tracking, and reporting.Ensure compliance with safety standards, including OSHA regulations and site-specific requirements. Support commissioning readiness and overall project delivery execution.REQUIRED SKILLS + EXPERIENCE4–10 years of experience in construction, with strong field-based project management or APM experience.Experience working with MEP trades.Background supporting data centers, telecom, or mission-critical facilities.Valid OSHA 30 Certification; may consider candidates who are willing to obtain or in progress of obtaining OSHA 30 prior to their first day.Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades onsite.Experience using a construction project management platform.NICE TO HAVE SKILLS + EXPERIENCEBachelor's Degree preferred in relevant field, or trade school.Procore experience.Willingness to relocate to PA/DE/NJ areas in the next year or so at the end of current project.
