We are seeking a Technical Director to lead the technical direction of that emerging practice - setting standards, leading major bids, and acting as our senior technical authority on mission-critical work. Reporting to the Regional Director - MEP, this is a leadership role with real scope to shape a practice from the ground up, backed by the reach and resources of a global consultancy.What You'll DoProvide technical leadership and sign-off authority across all data centre projects in the regionDefine and maintain MEP/ELV design standards and delivery frameworks for mission-critical workLead technical input on major bids and proposals across the MESA regionBuild and mentor a specialist data centre team within a 400+ strong MEP/ELV practiceEngage with clients, hyperscalers, EPCs, and authorities at Director levelDrive innovation across BIM, parametric design, and AI-assisted workflowsRepresent Egis externally as the data centre practice establishes its market presenceQualifications15+ years of MEP engineering experience with a significant portion in data centre or mission-critical environmentsDemonstrable experience at Technical Director, Associate Director, or equivalent levelDeep expertise across data centre MEP/ELV systems: HV/LV, generators, UPS, precision cooling, EPMS, DCIM, and ICT infrastructureFamiliarity with Uptime Institute, TIA-942, and EN 50600 requirementsStrong commercial awareness across fee negotiation, scope definition, and risk managementDegree-qualified with Chartered Engineer status (CEng or regional equivalent) requiredGCC experience preferred; UAE track record a strong advantageAdditional Information400+ strong, award-winning MEP/ELV team across UAE, KSA, India, Jordan, and EgyptLive and growing pipeline of hyperscale and mission-critical opportunities across the regionPlatform to build a specialist data centre practice from the ground upBacked by the depth and reach of a global consultancyCompetitive Director-level package and UAE benefits
