OVS Hongkong Sourcing Limited is looking for MerchandiserJob Description / ResponsibilityOVS is looking for a MERCHANDISER:Our fast-growing retail organization is expanding our business in Europe. For our Bangladesh liaison office we are looking for professional candidates to fill the following position:MERCHANDISER:Our merchandisers control the entire process from sourcing to shipping, including development and quotations, as well as managing the approval process and ensuring the shipments go out on time. For this key position we need experienced, presentable and highly motivated candidates that can work independently with their assigned department, functioning as a true extension of our Italian buying team.

Responsibilities

Reviews/understands buyer’s tech packs and comments and explain /advise technician and factory the development of samples accordingly.Maintain liaison with internal Technical Team on a day-to-day basis for obtaining approval on pre-production and production samples to a commercial standard, as specified by our overseas head office.Maintain liaison with internal Quality Team on a day-to-day basis for obtaining shipment on time.Follow-up on sustainability documentation, such as Collecting BCI credits, Garment TC etc.Employment Status: Full-time: From Monday to FridayWorkplace: Uttara, with the requirement to travel to vendor’s if/when needed.Educational RequirementsMinimum Bachelor’s DegreePreferable Bachelor in Apparel Merchandising & ManagementExperience Requirements7 to 8 year(s)The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):GarmentsAdditional RequirementsAt least 7 / 8 year(s) in a similar position working for/with a European Retailer for children’s garments (Specially Knit garments)Must have sound knowledge on Merchandising Work flow chart.Must have English Language & Communication skill to communicate with foreign Product Manager and colleague.Must have sound knowledge in costing, price negotiation, and liaison with suppliers.Must have sound knowledge in order follow-up and liaison with vendors with up-keeping data for management review.Must have sound knowledge in Cloud Software like Citrix, Kubix, PLM, Power BI etcMust have sound knowledge in MS office for daily operation.Prepare and update tech packs, work out consumption based on buyer’s tech packs.Must have Keen Knowledge in different kind of Yarn, Fabric & Embellishment.Job LocationDhaka (Uttara)
